Had Connors come to look at my boiler, Jake ,came was very great to work with. Went threw everything with me. When I called I didn't expect next day service in January when it's so cold. But came within 24 hours of me calling, worked with me with my work schedule. I was referred by a co -worker sure glad he sent me to Connors, I now have a service plan also. I'm glad I have someone I can trust to do my repairs. And office gal was fantastic to deal with. I'm sorry I just don't remember her name.. thanks for the great service, very much appreciated.

Exceptional from start to finish. My heat went out, I have a boiler. Connors recognized the immediate need for help and had a technician (Marko) out same day. Marko identified the issue, had transparent pricing, and remedied the issue. I am very grateful and happily signed up for their service partner contract. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

Had a furnace issue with heat and the technician Corey arrived within an hour after calling the company. He solved the issue within an hour and explained the situation very well. Now the furnace is good to face the winter. Very reasonable price for repair, and I even signed up their membership program (optional) for future free annual checkups and discounts, and I thought the membership price of $13 per month is more than reasonable in my opinion. Highly recommend!

They got me in so quickly and were able to let me plan for when they were coming. Corey the technician was so pleasant! He went through everything with me and let me know what to expect of my older AC unit. Great service, and on top of that, they had a killer coupon which helped.

Signs You Need Our AC Replacement Services

Deciding to replace your air conditioner can feel like a big step, yet investing in a new air conditioning system often leads to improved comfort and potentially lower energy bills. Several indicators might suggest your current unit is nearing the end of its operational life, making replacement a sensible option. Recognizing these signs early can save you from the discomfort of a complete system breakdown during peak heat.

Here are some common signals that it might be time to consider a new AC unit:

  • Your AC is Getting Old: Most air conditioners have a lifespan of about ten to 15 years. An AC unit approaching or past this age range, even with consistent upkeep, will likely become less effective and prone to issues, signaling a need for replacement.
  • Frequent and Costly Repairs: Are you calling for repairs too often? If your AC needs constant fixes and the repair bills are adding up, a replacement could be a more economical choice in the long run, saving you money and stress.
  • Rising Energy Bills: An unexpected spike in your cooling costs, without a corresponding increase in usage, often points to a declining performance in your air conditioner. Older units typically consume more energy to deliver the same cooling output, making a new unit with a higher Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER2) rating an attractive upgrade.
  • Uneven Cooling or Poor Airflow: If some rooms in your house are too warm while others are too cold, or if you notice weak airflow overall, your current system might be struggling. This could be due to an improperly sized unit or deteriorating components, indicating that a new home AC installation could provide more consistent temperature control.
  • Strange Noises or Odors: Loud grinding, rattling, or buzzing sounds or musty and unpleasant odors emanating from your vents are clear warnings. These could signify serious mechanical problems or mold growth within the unit or duct system.
  • Excessive Moisture or Humidity: Your air conditioner helps manage indoor humidity levels. If you notice excessive moisture buildup, water leaks around the unit, or a persistently humid feeling in your home, the system may no longer be performing this function adequately, possibly impacting the evaporator coil’s operation.
  • Using Outdated Refrigerant: Older AC units might use R-22 refrigerant, which is being phased out due to environmental concerns. If your system uses R-22 and experiences a refrigerant leak or needs a major repair related to it, replacing the entire unit with a modern system using current refrigerants is a practical and environmentally responsible solution.

Our AC Installation & Replacement Process

Our installation process starts with a thorough inspection of your home’s existing electrical wiring, ductwork, and current system to determine the best replacement options for your specific needs. We calculate the proper size unit based on your home’s square footage, insulation levels, and cooling requirements rather than simply replacing your old system with the same size.

Our technicians explain the energy efficiency ratings of different models and help you choose equipment that fits your budget while delivering the performance you need. Once you approve the plan, we will schedule the installation at your convenience and complete the work with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

Types of AC Installation Services We Offer

Connors Plumbing, Heating & Air provides comprehensive installation services for all types of cooling systems, working with leading manufacturers to give you options that match your home’s layout and your family’s comfort preferences. Some of the most common types of air conditioners we install are:

  • Central Air Conditioner Installation: Ideal for cooling entire homes, central air conditioners are popular for their ability to provide consistent and widespread cooling, effectively managing the temperature throughout your living spaces.
  • Ductless Air Conditioner Installation: For homes without existing ductwork or for targeting specific areas, mini split installation is an excellent choice. These ductless models, also known as mini-splits, offer flexible placement options and individual zone control, allowing personalized comfort and improved energy use. We handle both mini split AC installation for single zones and multi-zone mini split air conditioner installation.
  • Heat Pump Installation: Heat pumps are versatile systems that can provide both cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. A new heat pump installation can be an energy-conscious choice for year-round comfort, moving heat instead of generating it.

Why Hire Our Air Conditioning Installation Professionals Over DIY

Air conditioning installation involves complex electrical wiring connections, refrigerant handling that requires special training, and precise calculations that affect your system’s performance and longevity. Our technicians understand local building codes, safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications that DIY installations often miss, potentially voiding warranties and creating safety hazards.

Professional installation also includes proper testing of all components, calibration of your thermostat, and verification that your new system delivers the airflow and cooling capacity you paid for. We even stand behind our work with comprehensive warranties and ongoing support that you simply can’t get with DIY installation.
